Wedding Invite Site

On June 4th, 2016 I married Karina Martin. For our wedding instead of sending out physical invites, I decided to make a a website for sending out invites and handling rsvps. This was my first Node project, which I was eager to dive into. You can try it out here.

It uses a MongoDB database fro the data, and the server is ran via Express. One of the key features I am proud of is the parallax effect that occurs when you click yes or no on the initial page. This took a bit of tinkering and I even created a library for this effect. The library even had routing, so it was like a mini SPA library.

I also used Node to import the invitees via a csv file into MongoDB, and email the invites with NodeMailer. I enjoyed using Node and look forward to using it in the future.
